Assam Legislative Assembly Recruitment 2016. Applications are invited from the citizens of India as defined in the
Article 5 & 8 of the Constitution of India for filling up the following
posts in the scale of pay as shown against each:
Vacancy Details:
1. Under Secretary
No. of post: 01 post
Scale of pay: Rs.
12,000/- — 40,000/- + Grade Pay Rs. 6,300/-P.M. in Pay Band -4 and admissible
allowances.
Educational Qualification: The
candidate must have Post Graduate Degree in any subject and age shall not be
more than 45 (forty-five) years at the time of application.
Eligibility Criteria: Any person
who is duly selected by the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) through
Combined Competitive Examination for ACS and Allied Services and have the
working experience of at least 3 (three) years in the capacity of an Employment
Officer may apply for the post.
2. Assistant Language Officer
No. of post: 02 posts
Scale of pay: Rs.
8,000/- — 35,000/- + Grade Pay Rs. 5,100/-P.M. in Pay Band -3 and admissible
allowances.
Educational Qualification: The
minimum educational qualification is master degree securing 50% marks in Arts
from any recognized University.
Other Essential Qualification:The
candidate must be capable of translating any matter from both Assamese to
English and English to Assamese and must have good command over Assamese and
English Languages and adequate knowledge of Computer application with DTP.
3. Deputy Marshal
No. of post: 01 post
Scale of pay: Rs.
8,000/- —35,000/- + Grade Pay Rs., 4,500/-P.M. in Pay Band -3 and admissible
allowances.
Educational Qualification: The
minimum educational qualification is graduate in Arts, Science or Commerce from
any recognized University with NCC “C” Certificate.
4. Bengali Reporter Gr.-II
No. of post: 01 post
Scale of pay: Rs.
8,000/- — 35,000/- +Grade Pay Rs. 4,300/- P.M. in Pay Band -3 and admissible
allowances.
Educational Qualification:
Pre-University passed or its equivalent Examination passed from any recognized
University or Board with minimum speed of 100 words per minute in (Bengali)
Stenography. Speed Test shall be conducted by a Selection Committee to be
nominated by the Speaker.
Other essential qualification: The
candidate must have adequate knowledge of Computer application with DTP in
Bengali.
5. Assistant Librarian
No. of post: 01 post
Scale of pay: Rs.
5,200/- —20,200/- + Grade Pay Rs. 3,300/- P.M. in Pay Band -2 and admissible
allowances.
Educational Qualification: The minimum
educational qualification is graduate in Arts, Science or Commerce and Bachelor
Degree in Library Science from any recognized University.
6. Steno Grade-III ( English)
Scale of pay: Rs.
5,200/- —20,200/- + Grade Pay Rs. 2,900/-P.M. in Pay Band -2 and admissible
allowances.
Educational Qualification:
Pre-University passed or its equivalent Examination passed from any recognized
University or Board with minimum speed of 80 words per minute in (English)
Stenography. Speed Test shall be conducted by a Selection Committee to be nominated
by the Speaker.
Other essential qualification: The
candidate must have adequate knowledge of Computer application with DTP in
English.
7. Typist (BODO)
Scale of pay: Rs.
5,200/- —20,200/- + Grade Pay Rs. 2,400/-P.M. in Pay Band -2 and admissible
allowances.
Educational Qualification:
Pre-University passed in Bodo Language and its equivalent Examination passed
from any recognized University/Board. Speed Test shall be conducted by a
Selection Committee to be nominated by the Speaker.
Other essential qualification: The
candidate must have adequate knowledge of Computer application with DTP in Bodo
with minimum speed of 45 words per minute.
8. Generator Machine Operator
Scale of pay: Rs.
5,200/- —20,200/- + Grade Pay Rs. 2,200/-P.M. in Pay Band -2 and admissible
allowances.
Educational Qualification: H.S.L.C.
Examination or its equivalent Examination passed from any recognized Board/
University with diploma in Electrical from ITI.
Age Limit: As per
Office Memorandum of Personnel (B) Department, Govt. of Assam, dated Dispur,
the 3rd March, 2016, the candidate must not be less than 18(Eighteen) years and
not more than 43 (Forty Three) years (in caseof General and OBC/MOBC
candidates) as on 01-01- 2016. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for
SC/ ST (P) and ST (H) candidates as per prevailing Govt. Rule.
How to Deposit Fee: The Examination Fee of Rs. 20/-
for General and OBC/MOBC and Fee of Rs.10/- for reserved categories shall have
to be deposited by Treasury Challan under Head of Account “0070- other
Administrative Services”, 60- other services, 800- other Receipts (10). And the
duplicate challan copy must be enclosed with the application. Examination fee
deposited by any other way shall not be entertained.
Criteria:
i. Application in Standard Form as published in Part-IX
of the Assam Gazette with self attested photo copies of all Testimonials
including the Certificate in proof of age and 2 (two) copies of recent pass
port Size photographs should reach the office of the Principal Secretary, Assam
Legislative Assembly, Dispur, Guwahati-781006.
ii. Candidates will have to super scribe the name of post
applied for on the top of the sealed envelope carrying the application form.
iii. A self addressed envelope (size 22x10cm) affixing
postal stamp of Rs. 5/-only will be submitted.
iv. Candidates those who are in Government service may
also apply through proper channel.
v. Caste Certificate issued by competent authority must
be enclosed in case of reserved categories candidates. Incomplete applications
shall be summarily rejected.
vi. Candidates will have to appear in Speed
Test/Interview at their own expenses as and when called for.
N.B:
1. Sl. No. 1,
3, 5 & 8- Candidates will have to appear before the Selection Board /
Committee for walk-in interview. They are requested to bring their original
certificate at the time of interview.
2. Sl. No.2 -
Candidates will have to appear for Test Examination (Translation from both
English to Assamese and Assamese to English). The Test shall be conducted by a
Selection Board to be nominated by the Speaker.
